Spent a very cold, wet and windy day at the farm of Angus Beef Ireland and Slaney Foods supplier Mr. Michael Ryan, Ballymore, Co Westmeath. A most impressive and imformative day outlining what can be achieved, in relation to production and profitability, by a 100 acre part-time farmer and his family. Hereunder are some pictures of the day.
Well done to Michael for hosting the event and being so open with his information, Teagasc Mullingar and Gordon Peppard for coordinating the day and John McDonald / Dennis Brennan for enlightening farmers as to factory requirements for the Angus production system.
