2019 Ploughing Championships, Fenagh, Co Carlow

At the end of the three glorious days the attendance figure for the 88th Championships came to a record breaking 297,000 visitors. The good weather and the excitement of a change of venue helped lift the spirits of farmers and their families in these difficult times.

Angus Beef Ireland would like to thank our many producer group members and public who visited our stand over the three days and supported our chosen charity “Cycle Against Suicide”.

2019 Connaught/Leinster Aberdeen-Angus club herds competition.

 

The Connaught/Leinster Aberdeen-Angus Club held its annual herds competition awards night Sunday 15th September. This year’s competition was judged by Jim Borland from Kelso in the Sottish Borders.

Mr. Gerry Smyth, Managing Director of Angus Beef Ireland was on hand for the presentation of prizes yesterday. Well done to everyone who took part this year and the full results are listed below:

Small Herd:
