World Forum Programme _ World Angus Forum 2017

In 2017 The World Angus Forum will be held in the UK, the home of the Aberdeen Angus breed. The Forum will take place from Friday 16th June – Tuesday 2nd July 2017 and will incorporate a tour in England, including the National Show at the Three Counties, a tour in Scotland and the Royal Highland Show taking place in Edinburgh, and a Tour of Ireland.

The Forum is held every four years and provides a platform for the exchange of genetics information and breeding objectives, and also acts as a forum for youth involvement, to take us into the future.

The Forum will attract many Angus breeders, farmers and associated companies from all over the world, to listen to speakers, share their knowledge, expertise, experiences and network together.

The Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society are the hosts of the World Angus Forum in 2017 and look forward to welcoming everyone to the UK for the forum. The management of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society is the responsibility of a Council elected by the members.

Today, the Society has cemented its position as the world’s finest beef breed with worldwide recognition producing premium quality beef. The Society has built a strong relationship with supermarkets as well as restaurants, farm shops and butchers, building the demand from consumers to a level where the beef can command a higher selling price.
